MRS. JAMES E. DALY, JR.
Daly-Crompton

    Miss Evelyn Anne Crompton and James E. Daly Jr., a yeoman 2/c with the Coast Guard, were married this morning at 9 o'clock in St. Teresa's Church.
    The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Crompton of 24 Bella avenue, and the bridegroom is son of Mr. and Mrs. James E. Daly Sr. of 144 Massasoit drive, Norwood.
    Rev. Patrick J. Hunt conducted the ceremony and sang the mass. Wedding music was played by Mrs. Marcella Hunt, organist. Soloists were Miss Dorothy McKenna and Mrs. Eva Ricco.
    The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a Chantilly lace gown over satin with full skirt en traine and an illusion neckline with mandarin collar. She wore a fingertip veil with crown of orange blossoms and carried a cascade of white roses centered with an orchid.
    The maid of honor, Patricia Daly, was dressed in a maize ballerina length gown of nylon tulle with matching satin jacket and attached sash and bow. The bridesmaids, Marie Donahue and Diana Guiliana were similarly attired in pink and blue., All carried Talisman, pink and red roses.
    Henry Moreau was best man and Joseph D. Brady and Gilbert G. Lady were ushers.
    A reception was held at Lindsey Tavern, Lincoln. The bride's mother wore a navy silk shan-tung dress suit and the mother of the bridegroom chose a blue lace dress. Both had orchid corsages.
    Following a wedding trip to Texas, the couple will make their home at 144 Massasoit drive, Norwood. He is a graduate of Aldrich High School and attended Providence College.
