Mike's Birth

One of the happiest days in the lives of Evelyn and Jim occured on St. Patrick's Day in 1954. Their first child, Michael Patrick, was born after what seemed like a 10-month pregnancy. The Dalys had selected Michael Frederick as a name if it were a boy. However, when he arrived on St. Patrick's Day, they decided he should be named after St. Patrick. Mike was a big baby, weighing in at 8 lbs. 10 ozs.
